Ocorreu ontem, no O2 Academy Brixton, em Londres, o Shockwaves NME Awards 2010, uma das premiações musicais mais famosas da atualidade.

Kasabian, Marina And The Diamonds, Lily Allen, The Big Pink, Hole (que recentemente, fez o seu primeiro show em onze anos) e The Maccabees, se apresentaram ao vivo.

Os recém citados aqui no blog, The Specials, que também se apresentaram ao vivo, receberam o prêmio "Outstanding Contribution To Music" e Paul Weller, o prêmio de "Godlike Genius".
